Looking to pick up my first set of kites.. I've got one season of flying a friends Switchblades under my belt so I'm failure with how they fly. Was thinking about checking out the Envy to save a bit of coin.. anyone have experience with them both? how do they compare?

Kiteboarding is not cheap. If you're looking to save a bit of coin, try badminton.

Failures need not apply in kiteboarding, they don't last long.

If you're familiar, well then shit it seems like an easy answer--buy what you know.

My point being that this is an expensive sport. If you don't have the resources, and are going to try to go cheap, then have at it, but this sport doesn't really work that way.

Whether someone else has flown them both should not be relavent to you. Whether you have flown them both should be. For some, maybe the Envy is the ideal kite, and the Switchblade sucks, or vice versa. I've tried many different kites, and fly what works for me. Others out there fly what works for them. You need to find out what works for you. I did that by buying kites, trying them out, and selling what I didn't like, kept what I did. If you can scores some Envy's cheap, buy 'em and try 'em out. If you like them, you're stoked, if not, sell them and try something else.

One of the forum rules is no comparing kite brands. Causes too much drama ....you new so you probably didn't know. It's best just to demo the kites and pick the one you like the most.
