| Dude, have you ever been to margarita? The only expensive thing is renting a car and getting your gear there. Beer, lodging,food and drugs are cheap, and the wind is free:) have fun and remember to wrap it up if you know what I mean. |

Not at the main Kitebeach it isn't. I forget the name of the beach now, but it's the main one. I wasn't a fan of the place two years ago. Crowded, choppy water. Expensive food and drinks. Crappy food. (Well, everywhere we ate in Venezuela had crappy food. ) Get away from the tourist spots and it's probably better; we only spent one night on Margarita before heading to Coche. There are spots, I've heard, on Margarita with decent waves.
If you're going to the effort of going to Margarita, think long and hard about Los Roques instead, or in addition to. Margarita has the nightlife, Los Roques has the kiting, fishing, diving, and natural beauty.  |
