Having recently sustained a concussion kiteboarding; I vote nutty. I also suspect questionably legal.

Much better now; fully healed. Just fighting a debilitating case of out-of-shapeness after not working out for almost a month. I'm back to hitting the gym though. I plan on getting a new wetsuit in January and getting a few sessions in if the wind cooperates. Thanks for asking.

Haha. Sorry didn't mean to de-rail it.

Where do you land on the nutty/brilliant scale of the jumping off of the aircraft carrier stunt? I'm more on the brilliant side for that one because it didn't require an insanely dangerous ascent to do it.

The Aircraft Carrier launch reminds me of one of my favorite videos from a few years back by Adam Koch; he's a long-time kiteboarder from the Seattle area who spent some years in Maui and then touring to many destinations around the world. I tried to find the video showing him jumping off an aircraft carrier and sticking the landing perfectly but it has been removed from YouTube.

Here's another awesome video that is still on YouTube of Adam Koch and others in 'Cliffhucking' cliff-jumping off a 100' cliff in Barbados:

Amazing watching them leap off the cliff with board in hand, then slipping the board on in mid-flight, sticking the landing and riding away. That takes some Balz!!

That has to be one of the craziest things I have seen. Can't believe he flew the kite and climbed that thing safely.

That sandwich looked amazing. Seriously
With trouble just trying to get from the
Beach to the water keeping your kite
Under control, how is that possible?
Just imagine a gust and lull and his board
Tangling on the tower as his kite loops
Out of control. That's how I would do it.

Sorry but they are not 100'. I doubt that they are even 50'. That video was shot in 2007, so more than likely the lines are around 25meters in length. Give or take, which is around 80 feet.
And if you watch the video at minute 0:46, you can see the kite and the cliff. less than half the distance of the lines. Around 40'
You can see a dozen people any day at rooster or at the bridge when its blowing, jumping that high.

The Carrier, no one even landed it.

I think it would be fun to jump off both.

As for the crane. HELL NO, that dudes crazy. Shocked
