Still not as burly as paddling in. Kind of cheating in my opinion. But for people who have trouble paddling they are legit. |

I agree that it is not a burly as paddling in, but either is towing in.
I wonder if the Wave Jet will be used in the same venues as Tow In surfers are riding.
I have no interest in riding one of these things, but will deffinately be watching them mix it up with the others on the water. _________________ KB4C!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think about people like Bethany Hamilton. physical handicaps interfering with paddling can finally be equalized. So quite legit there. Have seen a few here in outer reef conditions and they definitely work. The bosses were still paddling though. |

I'll try it. Why not? Who cares?
While you're un-bunching your panties think about the fact that we are already using what paddle surfers call a cheating method for catching waves.
If it's fun, I'll do it. You can bitch and moan at me while I paddle past ya. I won't give a shit. _________________ --------------------------------

What do fat chicks/dudes (depends on your preference), scooters, (and now) power surfboards have in common?
They are all fun to ride, you just don't want your friends or the line-up seeing you riding them. |

Just saw one this morning. I was surfing an 11'6 and he was on a 10'4 wave jet. We both got a wave and I got cleaned up paddling back out while he cruised over some 12 foot set waves without paddling. I kind of felt safe as my leash was stretching, cause if it would have broke he would have pretty much been able to save me. Plus it is way less annoying than a jet ski. |

What do you mean interfering? She surfs better than most..even does tow-in. So no need for a jet on the board. |

I was just saying that people who have trouble paddling could benefit from a wave jet. I just used her as a well known example. |
