It was pretty hairy out on the coast last week. Here's a video I threw together from one of our sessions in La Push, WA.

Far out! Nicely documented...never heard of that area. So is Second Beach south of the south jetty? Looks like lots of potential around there..

There's 4 beaches nearby, separated by rocky points. Rialto, north of the river, then 1st, 2nd, and 3rd beaches south of the river.
Each one is angled a little different and have slightly different rideable wind and swell angles. A hike is required for 2nd and 3rd beach, whereas 1st is right in front of the campground or hotel.
Pretty sweet, but also pretty far out of the way for most. _________________ "all I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine."

I have backpacked that coast a few times and have dreamed of kiting it. Thought the monolithic rocks might toss the wind around but also make the scenery most amazing. Cool place and glad you got the goods! |

are you running a standard surfboarrd leash or something else(super short or retractable). I have ran a standard leash but I seam to step on it and their is a lot to get tangled I have been thinking of running the super short leash just long enough to get from my harness to the board. Have talked to some people who said it worke better. |

I always just use a regular 6 ft surf leash in waves head high or bigger, or whenever there's something gnarly nearby. _________________ "all I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine."

Cool video. Nice winter stoke. You have a good mix of gopro and regular footage. I'm definitely going to get to the coast for a session this winter! |

Sick Nick you ROCK!
Your short films are super fun and keep me wanting more.
Stoke Meter = 9 (it would be a 10 if it was filmed some where warm) |
