Dangler is a nonprofit organization, he simply repairs kites and accepts donations for his charity. _________________ Slingshot | Ride Engine |Try before you buy | PM me

I bought my first C kite in 8 years this year just to see the difference. After all the "grunty" and "back in the window" talk I heard, I honestly was not too excited to try it. Who wants to get drug around and struggle to stay up wind? Plus, I was thinking they were for unhooked riders willing to give up freeride performance.
I am psyched that I tried it. New C kites are simply awesome. I haven't ridden a Fuel since 2002, but my "other brand" C kite is a freeride wet dream. Total depower, easy to ride upwind, well behaved, super fast, and really nice power curve for loops... I was bummed whenever I had to pull a different kite from my quiver this year. I'm switching 100% to C's this year. If you haven't tried one lately, get a loaner from a friend. There is a lot of BS out there about C kites. |

I can say from experience a flexi hadlow pro is no fuel replacement
And if the dangler can not pay taxes good for him.
I feel ripped off from my forced contributions from my bussiness and my paycheck. |

WTF is up with that guy/gal? First post and he/she causes all kinds of drama.... Sometimes I want to know who is behind the keyboard....perhaps an IRS agent?
Personally I like a grunty kite. I know what to expect. It reminds me of being pulled out of the water behind a V6 ski boat with my waterski. Immediate power. I have never had a hard time de-powering my RPM's. The only issue I have had is the chicken loop needed to be made smaller & the donkey dick needed to be cut shorter. I have short arms (I'm 5'4) and I couldn't put the bar out far enough. My husband flies Rallys. I find them to be very smooth & powerful - but I still prefer my RPM's. you can't go wrong with either kite. _________________ Be kind to Kooks |

Who cares about what some anonymous person posted but you people need to stop making claims about C kites like u rode them even though you have no idea what you are talking about and have never riden one. Thats kiteboarding at its finest, people who have no idea what they are talking about trying to tell each other whats up. _________________ I heart dangling |

some of y'all are taking the thread title to heart -and I thought I was hatin' because I ripped a kite.
Seriously though, thanks for the advice on fixing or replacing the kite.
and btw if anybody doesn't know how to depower a C kite, stomp on the tail of the board and keep it forward.
Once you put the kite where it needs to be in the window, you are set --but ya gotta stay on your toees (or heels usually ).
And if you get yourself in an apparent wind situation, give it a shake, boost, dab a tip or run downwind.
Skills.
Anyway, gotta go drop a 1099 on waterboy, laters... |

I admit that I don't know jack about C kites. I never claimed I did. Just expressing my own personal experience on what I like & what "grunt" means to me. I know you are not pointing at me directly, but the group as a whole. You do make a good point, Inept about the anonymus poster. I did think it was pretty nice of the group to defend Dangler though.. _________________ Be kind to Kooks |

The high-end of the 4.5m rpm felt pretty grunty at the north strip with Barfly yesterday - some passing thoughts of taxes and death... _________________ Go Deep!
