What's up with Private Messages that I can't open?

I have had 4 or 5 PM's recently that I can't open. The author of the PM is displayed with no subject, and I can't open it. Anyone else?

Both. I'll get a notification and see it in in box. The ones I can't open will have a blank subject line, but do show author. Strange.

I've had the same problem within the last 12 months never figured out the cause. Had to ask poster to resend messages. The problem is device independent (at least on the recipient side).

Were the messages sent without a subject perhaps?

Good question. It has been my experience that the server won't let me send without, but perhaps it sends an inoperable one?

I've received a few spam messages in response to classifieds.
I've gotten them on this website and in response to ads I placed on Gorgenet.
I think there's hackers who have programs that search for classifieds and send a generic email hoping you'll answer and gain entry into your PC that way.
Unless the PMs are from userids you recognize - I'd treat them as potential Trojan horse and delete or ignore.

The websites primary moderator is no longer employed with the city of Portland and therefore doesn't have time to mess with nwkite anymore. LOL
