| We did the BEST RV Tour demoing the 2012 gear yesterday from Hatteras’s kite point with the BEST team. At the beach, we caught up with Demitri of Epic Kites. So Tony and I hopped in his truck and set off for a quick nearby downwinder since we were dying for one after not having been in the waves all summer. On the way, he showed us EPIC’s new iPhone and iPad app where you can choose your location that includes the HR sandbar, Hatteras, Tahiti, etc. Then you choose your kite and board, and launch your kite. Tony kept running into the sand at the sandbar but was able to do grabs. He got clobbered by some waves in Tahiti. Pretty cool app. Then we did a sick downwinder with real waves in shorties!!!! Look for the app called “kiteboarding.” He said it was coming to Android phones in a month too. |
