I respect that but, if you could go anywhere in the world to kite and surf, would you really go to SPI ?

Maui. Sunny warm and beautiful. Non-stop 5 hour flight from PDX.
On the water by 2:00 PM. It can't be beat...

Screw Maui. Go someplace different, someplace where they dont speak English, some place where they have awesome food and no plain pantrys

Thailand? Marshal island? The cook islands, tulum, chile. At least that way if the wind doesn't blow you will have more to do than eat a $14 hamburger.

Just my 2 cents.

Marshall Islands aboard the Windward or any of the Indies Trader charters... close second Maui... if its not "foreign" enough try paddling out at Pavilions or park in two spots...

I don't know how the kiting is but the Maldives are also supposed to be fantastic.

Just take the family to Fairfield ID. Your kids can learn a valuable lesson about binge drinking Smile

Thats the Monkey I remember! LOL.

The maldives would be an excellent place to spend 25k.
Other places that will cost an arm and leg; Mauritius and New Caledonia.

Yes, the Marshall Islands are sweet- lived there for several years.

But bareboating is the shit- everything on your terms.

Just had a great burger at Eskimo Candy with the works for $8.00.
That was after a full day kiting at the pro pool at kitebeach.
We had the whole place to ourselves , literally only 4 other kiters.
Where is everyone? Not a single pro out the past 2 days.
