so here it is, minus a coat of resin to waterproof it.
a flat fish with ply skins and xps core with a cedar skeleton.
'cause everyone needs a skim
and every skim needs rocker, concave,
a fishtail
and channels
or not
anyway,
still digging the channel thing....
54"x20"
rocker 2.25" nose .75" tail
nose has a concave, 3mm
tail has a channel, 'bout the same.

You think it'll have enough bite to slap a lip like it owes you money?

1st ride.
5 mile downwinder with a chase boat, 20kts vs. current on river, 2' swell and chop.
Nice, slippery,
kinda hard to go downwind,
loves to throw spray.
rode a swell sideways for a long time....
skim stuff, first time ever tried one.
Ended up 1.5 miles upwind of my buddy and had to trade out another board to climb down there. Spent some time on a normal surfboard and TT too. good day.

I guess if I made a version 2 I'd give it a little longer and wider nose --it seems to like a stance narrower than I am used to as well as being slick as grease.
The channels aren't noticeable compared to on a surfboard or TT, but maybe they are helping. Still think they look nice...
Glad I made a deep fish tail 'cause it seems to dig in well when the board gets unruly.
Next downwinder I will probably stick to the thruster though....
Cool
