I am trying to figure out whether to stay here in Manzanita for another night....I am unable to find any wind predictions for the area...It is a sunny beautiful morning here does any one know if the wind will come up...

Thanks very much

Allen

P.S. it's the first time I stayed at the State park here...it is very nice.

forecast according to Ikite is light winds for the coast. Ikite says that Rooster and Stevenson are the places to be today. Current conditions seem to be showing that so far.

What speed wind are we talking about?

I was looking at the cam and one kitesurfer came out and looked like he packed to go home.

Is there still time to go (is wind going up later in the day, I only have 8m)?

The coastal report for Wed looks promising, anyone else going to be out at manzo tomorrow? I'm thinking/hoping it might blow for an afternoon sesh. It's always such a risk to drive to the coast, been skunked quite a few times. But, riding the waves is...well you know. And the alternative is mowing the lawn.

what report/area are you looking at.
The NOAA forecast is for south winds.... 20 mph at best. Big swell coming from the west!
I've kited south winds once... in the rain..... not pleasant.

I'd rather mow the lawn in my backyard (80 degrees sunny) than drive 6 hours (round trip) to sit on the beach and wait for south wind.

WED...S WIND 10 TO 15 KT. GUSTS TO 20 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. WIND
WAVES 2 FT. W SWELL 7 FT AT 12 SECONDS...BUILDING TO 12 FT AT 15
SECONDS IN THE AFTERNOON. SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON.
