I'm not sure how it works for SI as the winds clock around to the East. The Scappoose 48 looks good today with North winds peaking from 2-5pm. But, then the winds are to clock around to the east by tomorrow. On top of that, everyone's talking about Easterlies in the Gorge.

How does these east winds interact with the SI forecast today? Just curious and want to learn.

East wind really kills Sauvies. Looks like light east wind today so it might be OK. Tomorrow will be easterly so Rooster for sure.

I'm told N-NW wind is the only thing that works on SI. One of these days I'm going to try and kite a S wind but I'll probably just end up at the nude beach. Anyway if it's east head to Rooster or Ponds.

Does anybody know if Jones works on an east?

SI does not work on east wind days... you might as well stay home and watch Opera on TV

the last 2 years i went to kalama a bunch on east days. Just wasn't getting out of bed in time for the east wind, kalama seems to go when gorge is east. So, if you just dont want to ride east wind, or go to rooster, or whatever, have a look.
