For those of you not on Friends of Theo's Facebook page. I wanted to post an update here to share some positive news.
After recovering from the stress of being transported to a medical facility outside of Munich Germany Theo has maintained all his prior movements from before transport and is weaning off pressure support breathing through his trachea which means his respiratory muscles are kicking in. He has been able to speak some and his HR host family received a recording from Theo's father Daniel of Theo saying "all the best to you" so things are moving along and spirits are high for Theo's family and friends.
In 10 days or so it is expected that Theo will be able to begin more rigorous therapies.
The board that was signed by many of Theo's Gorge Friends and Family was sent to him in Germany and he is very stoked indeed and grateful for what it symbolizes.
Last week was the PKRA World Cup Kiteboarding event in St Peter Ording Germany and with the help of the Kiteboard community, all of the PKRA riders signed a brand new Underground board which will be raffled off and the proceeds given to Theo's travel and recovery effort.
