Heading to Europe again. This time Italy. Lake Garda has kiteboarding. Has anyone kited there? If so, suggestions on a beach to launch from would be appreciated. I read there are shuttle boats going to spots on the lake and that is an option but also would like to start at a beach if possible.
Thanks,
Polly

Lago di Garda is awesome!!! THE place to kite is Malcesine. The two towns further north (Torbole and Riva) are for windsurfing only -- kites not allowed up there. I was there with my family (and they only windsurf) so we stayed up in Torbole and did a lot of windsurfing. Unfortunately, I didn't get to kite while I was there, but saw a ton of kites out at Malcesine. Tons of other fun stuff to do there -- hiking, mountain biking, etc.

Have fun there!

Malcecine is on the right in this pic. There is a park everyone launches out of. Wind blows in the morning and evening. There are other spots to kite but I forget. You'll need to google it.
