Anyone know what is the best gauge for this area on Ikitesurf? Astoria or Columbia River Bar?
Any other sites to reference?
How can you tell when it's going off at Lot B or the Shipwreck? |

If you figure it out let us know.
About the only slam dunk is if all forecasts are calling for N to NW 15-20 or better from Disappointment to Arago. After that pull out your genie bottle. This close to the river there are too many variables. I don't know how many times I've seen it blow hard at the jetty and nothing at all at the shipwreck and hard at Gearhart and nothing at Sunset and visa versa versa visa. You can drive and drive and chase and chase and... it goes on and on.
Best bet is to stay at lease a week and I can basically guarantee 3 out of 5 probably better but you need to throw Manzo into the mix as an option, oh and a surfboard. And a lot of beer. |

Dude! Just had an acid flashback - 7th grade science film - they strapped binoculars on a guy that flips his view upside-down - by the end of the week he is driving and flying a plane - he was a bit bummed when they took em off....
