Thanks its hard to distance yourself when thats all everyone talks about. I only posted again because I thought it was rude to try and pretend to sell my gear online. rude and immature! Thanks for the advice

It really sucks that you got your kites stolen, especially for a second time. That said, you should have had your buddy edit out the names accusing specific people of stealing the stuff, that is libelous and just in bad taste. If the names had been left out of it, the drama and angry posts would have been non existent. I have never been more angry about a specific post. I think you will find your kites, karma has to be on your side.

Hey Clair,
I just wanted to say that it has been awesome to meet you and hang out and ride with you this summer. You seem like a person with a good and adventurous soul. I know that you are merely a victim in all of this. It really does suck that your kites were stolen. I know how it feels. I had my car broken in to at the Spit a few years back. My kites, wallet, and some other stuff were also stolen. I felt so victimized. This year, it almost happened again at the Event Site. My kite bag was stolen this year. It sucked since the electronic key to my gf's car was in the bag. That ended up costing a morning at the dealer and $250 bucks! I feel for you, but please don't let these incidents change the way you feel about the community here. Most people do look out for each other here, but there are some seedy elements. Most people who live and/or play here are always courteous. I hope you will take the good from the Gorge and leave the bad behind.
If you don't have kites at the moment, I have a some kites you can have to ride. I know they would not be the brand you ride for, but if you do need kites to use, I have a 2010 5.5m and a 2010 10m you can use.

Everybody seems to be so concerned about Clair, what about the guy that lost the Naish kites? Is he any less of a victim? Why isn't anyone running to his aid with offers of kites to use, and wise ancient proverbs?

I think the only reason that all these dudes have so much sympathy for Clair is they are hoping they can get in her pants.

The thing I think Clair and the Clair Defense Posse don't realize, is that their actions directly related to people like me poking fun at it. Posting stories (which are now all gone) about what happened, relating all of the stupid drama that went on about headlocks and tennis balls, calling out names of potential perpetrators, and all the other silly stuff is what drew attention to it.

Many people have posted stolen gear here and none of this has ensued. It was all the other childish crap that went along with it, that made it so ridiculous.

It's quite obvious that a bunch of people that aren't grown up yet, or will never grow up were involved in all of this. Just because I called them out on it, doesn't suddenly make me one and the same.

Take a step back and think about it for a minute, but I don't think any of these folks have anywhere near the maturity level to do that.
