It was a beautiful day at the beach yesterday.
It was a perfect day to return after nursing a shoulder injury.
Nice wind, small mellow waves to play with and great vibes on the beach.
Its good to see the stoke of the hood and pdx crews.

Beautiful day indeed unless you were in Seaside. Made the mistake of thinking it was acutally going to blow in the afternoon, but stood around for a couple of hours thumbing my nuts.
Interesting what a few miles makes. Leason learned.

Great shot and a fantastic day at Manzo yesterday! A thanks to the guy who pushed my board to shore, was surprised how fast it got pulled south! Today waves are looking nice so far, wind, not so much.

Bill, what size and kind of kite was that you were flying today on the water, looked like one of your self-inflating land kites. I was perfectly dialed on my 12m, great session.

you know its good when you're sharing waves with a surfer who's getting solid rides on his shortboard.
that pic does not do justice to the epicness at the end of the day
still a good pic to drool over

It was an evil twinskin, not many of their kind around here Self inflates and keep internal pressure through front vents; takes about 30-40 minutes to lose internal pressure. Pretty cool kite design; pros and cons... It was a Peter Lynn Venom II 13m. _Love_ the kite on land but have never used it on water. Starts flying at 13 and goes thru 35, thought I've only had it up to 28 on land albiet it I was going 45 in the buggy. Figured with the the conditions, i should take the leap to try it out on water. I had it cranked up when I first went out but the bar pressure was insane so I had to land it and turn it down. Ended up slightly underpowered at times, but more then enough to party! I was using the flat water by laneda to work on the carving heel side

Saturday I was on the north end of Seaside on a 14 meter from 3:30 to 6:30. There was one other guy on a smaller kite, however the wind was blowing maybe 6 knots tops. Ran down to the beach after finishing up some housepainting.
My blood pressure builds everytime I think about missing an excellent session either north or south. Like Josh says, "Seaside is the San Diego of the north coast".
