Not a terrible read if you gotta minute. Didn't seem like the writer even knew kiting existed though..

Interesting .. Hippies rock!
Would make a Good ' Mythbusters ' episode - I'd like to see those ' lightening fast reflexes ' and ' almost perfect balance ' put to the test .. |

My Uncle once surfed 25 foot Waimea frying on an inordinate amount of LSD . He said he thought he was surfing like a god, but upon further review of his performance was just surfing ok. That said, water sports under the influence of psychedelics are one of the funnest things I have ever done. I highly recommend it to everyone. |

Wow, never heard that Doc Ellis story before. "at one time I thought the umpire was Richard Nixon and I was pitching to Jimi Hendrix swinging a guitar at the ball.
Classic. |

There are some very profound things in that article. And, accurate.
US Customs did drill a hole in the bottom of my surfboard looking for drugs when coming back into the country in the mid-80s. TSA ain't so bad in comparison.
I get a really good flashback every time I approach the half pipe on tele skis at the mountain and proclaim "dropping". |
