Just saw this posted on Kitescoop and thought it was worth bringing over here. I know I've been feeling a bit old and thinking a backmobe is a trick I might not ever get a chance to land. I don't normally like videos of dudes in straps but I can see past this with this video and focus on the point. No more excuses! A backmobe is a great goal for this season... Who's with me?

For those of us that don't know, what is a Backmobe? I'm guessing an inverted backroll + 360 based on the video.

I'm in for trying to get that working by the end of the season. I'm still at least a month from being able to start working on it but if if you want some extra motivation Forrest I'll wager you a sixer of your favorite beverage to the first one to ride away from a clean Backmobe. There must be witnesses to claim the prize. If you get it on video before me I'll make it a case. You in?

Forrest feels old? LMFAO.

What your like 30? Don't fret, once you are approaching 40 you start to feel young again. It's just that you wake up in the morning with a sore back thinking WTF did I do yesterday? oh yeah, I mowed the lawn.

Youkai. You bust a powered mobe I'll give you $20.

Youkai,

You manage to launch, get out, have a session, and not drop your kite, tangle your lines, and lose your board... I'll give you a twenty spot.

Backmobe this summer??? Dreams are good to have...

I started last year at 47. I will be 48 in a few weeks. I was planning on just working on some jumping this weekend. It looks like the bar has been raised................ Wink

Nak, you and I were born 10 years to late. (ok, maybe 15 for you Smile)

I was 28 when kiteboarding was "invented". And when I started free ride biking there were next to no trails and we had to drive to vancouver BC to get the goods. Now the kites actually work like they should and there are ripping trails and bike parks all over the place.

Oh well, at least I can afford kites and bikes now.

I didn't want to come out to youkai too harsh, but yeah, there is no fucking way in hell your going to stick a mobe. I would shoot for an F16. Good trick, not to difficult and then can be really thrilling.

Steve Sibborn up here in Puget Sound has got these or almost got these nailed and he's in his mid forties. Steve's also laying down shifty back 2 blinds and back to blinds with air pass on a regular basis. Think he's working on front mobes now. 38 is nothing for a back mobe.

Now a kiteloop Slim Chance is another matter as with age the knees start to go. Smile

I have seen Sibborn land a KGB, which is similar, but has a cooler name.
