Anyone ever have a Slingy stopper ball that doesn't actually stop?
I've got a 2010 RPM that doesn't lock up when the bar hits the stopper ball.
Everything looks normal when compared side-by-side with a fully functioning setup.
Give me some Dr. Ruth or the equivalent. _________________ --------------------------------

Mine have a tiny allen head set screw in them. If it is gone, the ball will not stop. _________________ I may be old, but I am slow |

I have older T2's. The black stoppers work well. I am guessing you are talking about the little yellow ball. I don't even know if the newer kites still have these. I got a chance to actually use the black bar stoppers in SPI where the wind was steady. Dramatic increase in power and accerlation when engaged. Not somethng I would want to do in the Gorge. _________________ I may be old, but I am slow |

I had the same problem with my 2010 Fuels. I think they fixed it but you might try contacting support and see if they will replace it with a newer one that has slightly smaller holes. |

I have a quiver of 2010's that I just bought this season and I have the same issue. Don't remember seeing a set screw but I will look. |

I have the same issue with my 2010 RPM. In the top few inches the lines are small and there is no friction. Below that there is friction as the lines are bigger, but not nearly enough to keep the bar in place. No matter where the ball is placed, it always just slides back to the top of the lines. So, yea, it doesn't work. |

Nice. I thought I was just crazy. Sounds like it's more common than I thought.
I've been riding Slingshots for years and the stopper ball has always worked amazingly well. It's only on my 20" bar that this is happening on. My 17" 2010 RPM stopper ball works just fine. (I am talking about the black stopper - not the small round power ball).
All these transitioning lines widths are a new thing for me. Still not sure how to approach this other than get a replacement stopper ball with smaller holes.
Thanks for chiming in on this.
PS - The 'Yo Mama' part of the subject is just drunken ranting nonsense. Don't drink and post. _________________ --------------------------------

Alright, somebody told me that it's actually the lines - not the stopper.
I'm considering swapping the stopper from my 12m (which I know works) onto the 8m (which doesn't) just to see what the problem is once and for all. But now I'm thinkin' I wouldn't really know how to approach that. I don't want to mess up my bar just for a stopper ball issue.

Why don't you just stop by or call Slingshot and see what they have to say!? I bet they will take care of you.
