Gales prevail at Rufus this week

With plenty of sun the first week of summer blew in with a bang. The last seven days have provided 3 full Gales with wind up to 40 Kts and 4 days of strong westerly wind. Couldn't be a better first week of summer!

Appreciate the Rufus wind updates. Post up when it starts putting out its big chop-free swell to go along with that wind

It was fricking RIPPING wind this WED at Rufas. the swell was LARGE and no one was out!! Just me, then two windsurfers. UNBELIEVABLE!!

Did anyone get out at Rufus today? Was there any swell?

It looks like the current has dropped below 400,000 CFS, which in a normal year would still be a lot.

yea I havent even bothered with rufus because it's like riding on a damn tread mill and with the current so strong it completely fucks the swell, if you're gonna go east just go to roosevelt.
