After several years of hosting wakeboard influenced freeride events in Hood River that attracted more and more top international kiteboarders, the Slider Project decided to start an annual competition. One that would allow riders to showcase their talents at the ever evolving Hood River Kite Park and expose this progressive "park" style of riding to the rest of the kite world. This competition is for the riders, by the riders.
For anyone that wants to enter the RoShamThrowdown there is a sign-up sheet under Rider Registration (Step 1 and 2): http://www.sliderproject.com/events.html#signup. There is a total of 40 open slots and it's first come, first serve.
Riding in the competition means you gotta ride boots, do flat water tricks, hit the rails, and keep your kite low. More information about the event can be found on that page as well: http://www.sliderproject.com/events.html

All the features Slider project have been posting look sick! Any idea when you guys are going to be able to get them on the water? It's my first season in HR and can't wait to try this stuff out. Going to be crazy to see guys like Billy Parker and Dre hit them, great work!

We're working super hard as always. Slivers of sand need to start appearing before we can drag them out.
Feel free to swing by and check them out in the evening. We're usually working Mon-Thur from 530 till dark, and all day on the weekends. 16th and B ST.

So bummed to miss the show. Good job pushing progressive riding and coming back bigger and better than last year. Good luck to all the competitors.
