I'm going to be in Seaside for three hours on Friday from 1pm to 4pm while my girl is in a seminar. I'd like to hit the beach and get a session in during that time. Are there any special rules for launching in Seaside, or hazards to be aware of? Wasn't there something about the snowy plover there?
If Seaside isn't good is there a significantly better launch within a 20 minute drive? _________________ Captain kook; always wrong. |

.FRI...NW WIND 10 TO 15 KT WITH GUSTS TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES
2 FT. SW SWELL 5 FT. OCCASIONAL DRIZZLE IN THE MORNING.
.FRI NIGHT...NW WIND 10 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 2 FT. SW SWELL
5 FT.
There's potential for a super fun session
There's potential for total skunkage,
There's potential for discovery and exploration.
If you want to be in the same area as other kiters then I would suggest somewhere between Lot B and ship wreck. That way when you get totally distroyed out thier (dont worry you will) and finaly allowed back to shore, by your skinny skinn teeth, there will be someone thier to call your girl friend and tell her theres been an accident.
RULE #1. NEVER, NEVER, EVER KITE BY YOUR SELF.
RULE #2. SHIT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE.
Hook up with another kiter and let him know that you have never been to the beach ask about general conditions and any knowen hazards, and dont for get to ask to please just keep an eye on me. |
