Water levels have dropped 2 feet in the last two days. Good news for all you Sauvies fans! 85 on Tuesday... I'm a thinking she's gonna blow.

I was just wondering about water levels at SI. Anyone been out there in the last day or so?
Last week or so, there was only 20 feet of beach, barely enough. Anyone have a SI beach report?

that might be good news for the HR sandbar as well. I spoke with a guy who works at the dam and he said the high levels in HR are due to the high WSL downstream. The greater the WSL between upstream and downstream dictate power generation.
So, once the lower river decreases in elevation we should see a lowering at HR.
I launched from the spit on sunday and there was just a few inches of water right near the parking lot.

Posted this in another thread but it's relevant here:
You can find the COE Forecast Model output here: http://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/stp/stp.cgi
I just spoke with the person at the dam and the numbers in this morning's forecast model are are looking even more positive with this weeks weather warm up. They publish their model output every Tuesday and Friday morning.
