Hats off to to the two kiters who harvested wind into the late stretch last night (landing at 7:36 p.m.) ...Was watching the mouth of the White Salmon in the binocs after the wind faded. It was pretty crazy watching large, nicely shaped frothy swell still folding-over 45 min to an hour after the wind had vacated the premises.

On the opening front, after my one man inspection team okay'd the 5'4" and rechristened it in a special ceremony involving a clapper, hand drums, sunglasses, a guitar, and a shaker, had tip-top first swell rides on my new-used cellery-tox. Was just reminded that his misfit days are long behind him...

I was driving to the Hatchery yesterday afternoon and couldn't help but notice how perfect the swells looked at the WS bridge. There were 5-6 large, smooth, wide rollers perfectly spaced one after the next. The Hatchery had some bigger waves coming through, but nothing that consistent or organized.

That was Jason and I milking every last bit of wind getting back to the Marina.

The swells by the bridge were pretty insane.

It was nice to land at the Marina. Sand, grass, car close by and fresh beers from awaiting friends was an epic way to feel the stoke for the new season.

BTW - if you ever see someone boosting higher than you and they have no straps on, well, that's Jason. Keep an eye on him, cuz his strapless airs are ridiculously sick.

And a super duper thanks to the individual that retrieved my runaway board, that swell literally broke on top of me! When I was (attempting) to tack to the board it was more like tuck & dive to break through it Shocked

If anybody knows the wonderful person that brought my board downwind flying a black and red Cabhrina PM me - I like to pay my debts - Thanks again!!! Very Happy
