hello everyone, I just picked up some kites and gear and I need to lessons.
I live in ashland oregon, and can't find kite peeps around here. As I've read I need lessons, plus being mid 30's with a rebuilt shoulder I don't want to end up in the ER anymore then I have to. would portland be my best bet?? I don't know jacksht about this stuff. but I think I'm in love already.
thank for your time. kaya the black dog |

Yes. Floras Lake. Contact Will Brady or Andy Bolt. Perfect time to grab some lessons before things get super busy there. These are the people that will make it happen for you.
A whole new crew of riders working through the kinks at Pistol River/Gold Beach. I've been exploring the butter flats of Smith River estuary....lots of potential there....nice and wide open for learning...beautiful, gin clear water....not too bad of a drive for you.....
Super sick sessions going down on the south coast this past week...long period 8 ft swell and some clean wind....we're in the middle of a nice cycle...this weekend setting up nice.
Hit me with a PM if you need more info for the south coast.
Here's a good guide to some spots in your neck of the woods...

Floras is a sweet spot, alot of shallow areas and flatter water, easy to learn in. Plus I hear a ton a great stuff about the kite school at floras. And you can camp there at the lake. take 3 days and go camping, get kite lessons all in one. _________________ *AIR PIRATES KITEBOARDING*

Wow, dude that's a lot of kites before your first lesson! What kites did you get? I'm really hoping it's not older than 2008 - 2007... |
