They're cutting the Stevenson wandering pier up, the decking is approx 4" x 24" lumber cut to pickup size lengths. Port guy said its free for the taking, so if you have a use, gfo for it. Its dry and not rotten at all. cheers, Marc

So how long had that pier been there? Ive never rode at Stevenson.

Its only been at the launch for a coupla months, floated down from the mouth of the wind river. Its likely from the old logging days, probably older than most of us.

Got this from John McSherry at the Port yesterday:
"We're down to a single course of boards left to remove (out of three). We hauled off about 6 tons of wood. A couple of tons are stacked on the step. The county is coming with a piece of equipment on Monday to help finish it off. "
Get it while you can!
