Athletes for Cancer, formerly Kiteboarding 4 Cancer is excited to conduct our own young adult survivorship program on top of our annual fundraiser! We are super stoked to be able to directly impact people's lives. It also keeps us very busy and actively seeking help with it all!
We are seeking part time help (Paid, Volunteer, and Internships) in different areas for our annual fundraiser, The Tenacity Games, and beyond. If you are ready and willing to make an impact, come be a part of this great cause! Experience in our event and organization in the past is a HUGE PLUS!!
Requirement for all positions: Must help promote the mission and purpose of Athletes for Cancer!

:: PART-TIME PAID ::
Communications / Marketing Coordinator - About 12 hours/week through mid-July, 5 hours/week after.
- Write and send regular email newsletters based on organization's communications & direction.
- Update twitter feed and facebook presence with regular postings.
- Manage A4C presence on social media, forums, and cause-related websites.
- Submit and distribute press releases/photos/video to cause, news portals, action sport websites and portals (general, kiteboarding, SUP).
- Update A4C website and blog on a weekly and as-needed basis.
- Help promote the mission and purpose of Athletes for Cancer.
Sponsorship & Webcast Coordinator - About 12 hours/week through mid-July, about 2 hours /week after.
- Develop, secure and track prospective and existing sponsors: Cash sponsors and in-kind/product sponsors for prizes, raffle, and athlete packs.
- Maintain sponsor database (we already have one too) and ensure that sponsors and partners are tracked and recognized.
- Communicate with sponsors & procure items/donations for event.
- Coordinate sponsor assets for webcast and event.
- Coordinate sponsorship follow-through at and during the event.
- Help promote the mission and purpose of Athletes for Cancer.
Volunteer Coordinator - About 6 hours/week through mid-June, about 10 hours/week the week before our event (July 1-7), full time during event (July 8-11) and about 1 hour/week after.
- Recruit and screen volunteers.
- Manage volunteers during our annual fundraising event (July 7-10, 2011).
- Help prepare job descriptions for postings.
- Assign volunteers based on organizational needs and on their interest, skills and qualifications.
- Foster volunteer retention and help develop volunteer recognition programs.
- Maintain the volunteer database.
- Must be accessible by email to address issues between meetings.
- Help promote the mission and purpose of Athletes for Cancer.

• Registration
• First Aid Tent
• Pit crew (setting up buoys, flags, fencing, timing system, assisting with board management at finish line for all events, directing athletes through finish, tallying scores, other aspects race)
Kiteboard 4 Cancer - July 8-10
• Event Site setup & breakdown
• First Aid Tent
• Art & Silent Auction
• Bake It! Auction
• Registration
• Pit crew (setting up buoys, flags, fencing, timing system, assisting with board management at finish line for all events, directing athletes through finish, tallying scores, other aspects race)
Tenacity Games Kickoff & VIP Parties
• Site setup & breakdown
• Entertainment coordination (in advance of the event)
• Registration/donation table
Internship Opportunities:
• Social Media coordinator
• Webcast assistant
• Event Logistics assistant
• Race assistant
