Nice 6 m conditions out there today, smooth rolling swell, and balmy temps. Anyways if you haven't been to Rufus this year, all you flatwater freestylers are going to be stoked on what the ACOE have done over past winter. I don't know the details why they did but they literally move millions of cubic feet of rock and sand to fix the eroded landscape. Just 1/4 mile up wind is now a much wider island, which has created a fair good flat water play ground. The best thing about it is there enough room for three or four kiters to cycle through. As well the wind is good and not rotored out like the main cove. (even when you drop a kite). Not to get to far ahead, but this would make perfect spot for feature. You could easily anchor it right off the island. Maybe the CGKA and Sliderproject (Forest) could get a permit for something. Regardless great new spot for all.

Sounds like a great riding spot.

Finally the Army Corp did something right.
