Shot this last Saturday when we had winds gusting in the 40's 50's. Wasn't a real great day for shooting but here's some clips I finally got around to uploading.

Enjoy!

Nice! bump&jump!!! Thumb's Up I'm with Mr. Slither on the wind speed thing though.....with 40-50 gusts trolling around out there I was expecting to see some tiny kites............Awesome to see an amped crew like that...looked like serious fun!!!!

I'll chime in. wind last saturday was pretty intense. I kited that morning on a 7m. it picked up later in the day. I'm sure christian was filming when the wind was a little milder than 40 mph. I don't know too many who like to get a video camera out and film in that strong of wind. also keep in mind temps in the 40s.
here's a link to the wind history for this beach. gusts confirm that it was in the 40s-50s range, but those were not sustained.
I remember when he filmed the intro boom shot was when it had momentarily backed off and about 15 minutes later, I advised a couple pumping up 10 m kites to hold off because the water had just appeared darker and full on whitecaps approaching. That was right when I left.

also is a popular thread this week on pskite in regards to saturday's events on the water.

yeah it was a big f'ing storm.

who knows what the sustained wind speed really was at the beach but the gusts sure felt like they could easily pass for 40's-50's. I had my camera inside a ziplock with a hole punched out for the lense just to protect it from blowing sand and rain.

Monday at work I was greeted by this as well. My office is the window right where the tree touches the building.

Why wouldn't you just call it double bluff?

Maybe we should call the sand bar SB.

christian shares some cool kite stoke and he gets criticized for using an abbreviation.
