Stopped by the GoPro booth at Surf Expo over the weekend in Orlando, FL. Some gear that has been in the works is to hit the streets soon and at nice prices. Things like an LCD display, expanded battery and 3-D housing and software. There is even a less definitive rumor about an underwater corrective port coming out from GoPro. I thought one of the reasons it was able to be so small, bomb proof and have a decent battery life was because it basically just had a record button and a manual viewfinder. Granted I've never used one but I'd be interested to see what people think when they start using the new versions. That stereo housing should be frickin awesome if you have a 3D tv. Oh well... Maybe next year. I hear ya. I love the output of the GoPro HD, but man does that big rectangular box look stupid up on top of your helmet. The CountourHD helmet strap mount looks a little better. But, I have the GoPro, so that's what I work with.
