I am contemplating going kiting tomorrow, (wind dependent)
Anyone interest in seeing/being a kitecicle?

I was thinking the ponds or rooster if I get desperate.

Anyone else want to go Smile

I might drive out to rooster, the cam looks crazy. Haven't decided if I'm getting wet.
But I'll be in the rooster parking lot around 1230ish in a white outback. If you want to join me, 360-three nineteen-64 ten

And still have both my testies Smile

Ended up going to Viento (to lazy to drive all the way to rooster)
Got to ride the 2011 RPM 8m for an hour. a fan! Had the whole place to myself.

Although I did have the sheriff in his boat drive by me 4 times, had the army/coast guard? fly over head 3 times. But other than that, it was good. Was wearing 10mm (7mm full with 3mm shorty under) of rubber on the chest, a 5mm pair of booties with a 2mm sock, gloves, hood. and camera. Haven't check it yet but the battery died early on so I don't know how much stuff I got.

Coolest part was my leash cord was covered in ice, my boardshorts where frozen and the kite had waterspray that froze on it when I landed.

You're nuts!!

By the way what purpose did the boardshorts serve other than freeze up and help to reduce mobility?

The main reason is because they are super bright yellow and I wanted to be scene in case my frozen body was being washed down to the ocean Twisted Evil

Actually it is more habit, I just feel naked without them on and it is wierd to kite with no shorts.

I am not sure which is more impressive? Kiting in the snow or self launching at viento? Well done!

Am impressed with your dedication. After being spoiled for a month in Maui don't think I can fathom the idea of kiting in this weather. Frozen shorts.... Your nutz! Love it.
