Attention fellow adrenaline junkies: I know this has little to do with kiting, but.... the coolest thing happened today just as I was stepping off the Shooting Star lift -- Heather Canyon was opened for the first time this season!! I made first tracks in powder all the way down!!! This was absolutely magnificent! Almost as magnificent as kiting in the ocean into the sunset! (By run #2 it was essentially a mogul field. By run #3, someone had fallen neck-deep into a hidden waterfall. Yeah, maybe Meadows was a little aggressive in doing this.)
