Realize this topic's already likely been covered ad nauseam, but couldn't find-it using the search function. Know Naish rents, but what are the other places to rent directionals on Maui? _________________ revitalized by muthu-nachu |

I second secondwinds. Cool and cheap. $30 a day (24 hours). _________________ --------------------------------

I think Neil Pryde Maui does too. Very cool guys at the shop and great customer service. |

I went-with Hawaiian Island Surf and Sport as recommended by Kraemer, but since all of the shops are clustered 3 blocks from each other, you'll likely find the same deal or better at any of the others. I was very please though with their service. Ended-up paying a little more for the week (it was around $220 with tax) for the option to switch-out the kiteboard for a standup paddle board. It worked-out very well as Lucy and I both used the standup paddle board a lot and I kited 4 days. I just switched back-and-forth and it was super easy as the shop is about 5 minutes from Kanaha and it literally has a drive-up place for dropping-off and loading gear.

I just got back from Maui as well and it was awesome. I rented a Airush quad from Hawaiian Island. Board was brand new when I rented it....bummer is that I put a small heal dent in it and they are going to charge me 150 bucks for it. I think this would be a warranty issue if I had bought the board. Moral is that might be worthwhile to rent a board from Naish or someone who might support the product more in a situation like this. I also wonder about construction with the board. Used it less than 15 hours...no jumping.
