Where at the ponds was that picture taken and what direction was the wind blowing. Did you use the clatsop spit wind gauge???? I thought it was a SE wind today and that wind looks like a NW from the pic. Thanks Blake

Was at the ponds Sat at high tide just before the gale hit. Wind went from SSE 10 to S 20+ in 45min and got very unruly. Lots of seagrass in the water and on the launch site...was a nightmare getting launched as lines would collect seagrass and make launching hellish. Storm surge covered most of launch site at peak high so launching and landing in the dune grass became necessary. Ugly day. Going to head out again today and see what's what.
