Wed Oct 20, 10 3:47 pm A good day for ankle weights.... |

Yet another sunny, warm, windy Wednesday at Rooster Rock! Strange how the windy days have been on Wednesdays maybe 4 or 5 in a row.
A 5.5m, massively depowered, and still hanging on like a monkey in the gusts -- that would be I think the upper limit of kiteable wind, I guess. I don't usually use jock-speak, but I think the proper term for the wind and breaking waves on the river today might be "sick".
We are all so lucky to live in this place! _________________ - Laura |

I would have loved to have dusted off my ankle weights but I am stuck at work. Its tough for me to sit here and listen to all the dudes gettin some while I ain't getting any. Rooster rock must not like desk jockeys
But glad you got some and it didn't go to waste. _________________ Still rockin gojos, *ssless chaps, and ankle weights! |

Today I was on my 7 and powered all the time. I was out from about 1-230 and it was the strongest non gusty wind I have ever kited in. Now i know why I needed a small kite. |

so who is who? there were maybe max 6-8 kites in the air at the peak, so i'm wondering who vancougar and bambam are (i know you too others who posted), and if i talked to you and just dont know your forum names. i was on the bright yellow kite around 11:30 - 130ish, and then hanging out on the beach by the flag for a while. _________________ - Laura |

I'm really starting love Rooster!! East winds are great. This is turning into the longest season I've had in a while.
Now the next step will be going out on the coast in west winds. I've yet to do this!
