We'll make the call in the am to see if the wind is filling in enough. It doesn't always blow all the way through, so this is an AM call usually by 9 or 10am.
As for who can go, boy or girl, it's all good, Co-Ed is the way to be.
Brad - would be stoked to run with you (Tybo and Nate are in if it's good).
Just as a precursor comment on this Advanced-Only Run :
This is a long run which starts out light, with just enough wind to get going and usually ends up with us riding with full depower and lit coming into an on-shore beach landing at Cascade Locks.
This is not a good '1st timer downwind run' at all.
Being able to kite at fast downwind angles is a requirement (while we do stop at some spots when we find good swells) and self rescue is mandatory (the other kiters are very likely unable to help you along any of these river sections).
I usually ride a surfboard just cuz that is my favorite ride for turning/burning downwind, while some others like to just a twin for boosting downwind airs all the way (**Note when riding with Sudsy, give him lots of room down wind. Trust me.).
Have to attend a Downtown business assoc meeting in the am, then will check wind and post a notice.

Hal and I are interested. I've done it to Stevenson a couple of times but never to Cascade Locks. Where do you come in? We can shuttle at least one other person.
Looking forward to it!

We are meeting at Viento at 10AM. Come and have some wild fun.
FYI this can be a HARD trip. You start out in very light winds going with the current (takes away from power in kite) You end up in Strong winds. You then have to drop your kite before being pulled up the rocks. It's REALLY hard for someone to rescue you on the water as the wind and current are taking you to Ptown. Be prepared to self rescue to Oregon. We will pick u up on freeway.
This is not to scare you but make you aware that this can be a HARD downwinder. PLease be confident of your skills. IE not a good first downwinder.
that being said.... Lets kite!!! _________________ Cleverly disguised as an adult...
