12m lines also work on other kites, more or less, but the idea is good, if the kite is grunty enough and the wind is steady.
The problem is many sites with sketchy launches that make you want short lines, also have wind shadows that make you need longer lines.
But for the rocky columbia shores, where you usually have plenty o' wind,
this seems like a good idea, maybe....
Could also be a good idea in small lagoons where 2's company and 5 is a kitemare waiting (but not waiting too long) to happen...

Not a new concept....plenty of guys have been riding on short line for years now.
I highly reccomend everyone getting a custom set of lines for their bar that have some extentions in them. I think airtime will chop up your set and then sleeve the extentions. Something like 17m+8m extentions works good if you have 25m stock lines.

Yeah I should have been more specific, I was referring more to the concept of a low aspect, deep-cambered kite specifically designed to run on short lines and give a smooth ride. I'd love to run my current 12m on super short lines like this, but there's no doubt in my mind it would be flitty with nowhere near the low-end of this kite. That said, I'd still be fun to give it a shot. If the wind range estimates for the 13m Access are correct then it rivals comparably sized kites with 24-25m lines. That's pretty impressive for a kite running 12m lines.

How about the no line kite?
I saw one of these at the Event Site last week.
It's good to see it actually works (sort of).
Very true about Lou, however the access is designed for the short lines (super low aspect with very flat shape canopy. The 12m lines are the extended version as well, with the 9m standard. Tybo is letting me demo the 10m right now. First impression are super fun kite, responsive, shoots up wind very well, great parked strapless, psycho loops, but seem safe as well.
I think there's a great niche for this kite, maybe not for the masses but certain places and people will love the Access. Call 2nd wind or pm me if you want to ride a "SHORTY".
Classic rufus today....summer ain't over yet...actually maybe that was the last warm day out east day;)
