To all the wind-riders of the PNW in need of info. or lodging suggestions please feel free to drop me a line. We have a two bedroom in the town of Tulum and are willing to rent or barter for its use. Also interested in talking to shop owners about possible business opportunity.

What direction of wind are you riding? Sideshore?
I never sailed there when I visited in November '08. It was windy 3 of 6 days. 9m sle one day and probably 12 sle to 14 sle the other two. I was at Moon Palace. It had its own beach and is south of Cancun. I went south to Tulum for a day, loved the town right by Tulum call Akumal.
That pic reminds me of kiting at my local spot in Portland; SI. There are a lot of similar obstacles to work around to get a light wind session in, albeit, Tulum's water is just a tad bit clearer.

I'm not a boarder myself but the wind usually seems onshore with a northernly direction and I'm sure the water is clearer and warmer. No Dis. we're also from Oregon but the ocean in Tulum is really special.

when I was their it was almost dead on one day the outside break in the first pick had some bigger waves (very weird to ride with streight onshore) but mostly lighter wind flatwater.
