Which gradients are going to tell you whether or not it's going to be good? Also, you're looking for a high tide there correct?

Thanks! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

The ponds work on any tide IMHO. At low tide you have sick shallow water for a skim board and you can still play on the SW side of the beach foor deep water fun. At high tide the pond fills in and creates butter flat water thats deep enough to throw down without having to worry about bottoming out.

You want to look at Wind on The Water's Pressure map (click on Oregon then click on the pressure tab to see the gradients). If you have a solid gradient going from Longview to Astoria it should be blowing at the ponds.

Ft Stevents parking lot D....walk down the south path about 100 yards along the wood foot bridge to the beach. Its a snady hook thats out of the main Columbia current (ie don't kite on the Columbia side unless you want to visit Japan)

Are you planning on chasing down a Zebra and sacrificing it to the wind gods or do you wish a spiritual calling to a higher authority?
