My 7m REV is at the end of its life. Great Gorge kite, many many days, its done though.

There are both REVII and Octanes for sale. Should I buy a REVII or is it worth paying a bit more for an Octane?

Anyone make that change or have input here? Thanks!

For me, bar and lines is where I am most picky about used gear. I like low to no miles on a bar and lines that I got from someone else. Amount used is more of an issue for me than age of kite; as long as we are taking "apples to apples" in kites ability and age. . .Does that make sense?

I think I saw a nice 7-9-11 octane quiver for sale in the "for sale section". http://www.nwkite.com/forums/t-19368.html

Their very similar. The Octane doesn't feel like a Rev unless you tweak it a bit. It's a tough choice personally I dont think there is a ton of differance between the two. I would just buy the one that seems like it's been used the least.

Thanks for the input! If I could just find an '08 REV with low to no miles and I could buy a new bar for it (that didn't cost $450 from SS), that would be perfect! My current REV is paper-thin and getting the wrinkles of death/ near failure. Probably more than 150+ days on the kite in the Gorge and Mexico, so I'm not complaining, but I just want to get a newer one.

Thanks for the thoughts!
