The new Bingen launch site got a cleanup over the weekend. Blackberries, Star thistle and other weeds were removed. Two new ramps were installed. Tons of small rocks were moved from the sand and water.

Special thanks to all the following:
Everybody's Brewing in White Salmon.
Port of Bingen.
CGKA volunteers that came out to cleanup.

Hope to see everyone enjoying the improved Bingen launch site. Remember this is an advanced launchsite. Please be sure of your skills and respectful of others that may use this site.

Sweet launch for sure. Have to see what the winds are like on a "normal" day.

Launch and land from the upriver side of the little sand spit/ rock pile.

Do not get too close to shore when landing or you won't be able to see your kite as it will be too far back from the slope.

I was not able to make the clean up, but, I stopped by there on Saturday evening to check it out. The amount of open space surprised me. I am not sure what all of the fuss was about. There is plenty of space for many different users.

Thank you for cleaning up the beach and CGKAs efforts in developing a positive relationship with the Bingin Parks dept.

Thank You All
Haven't been to the Bingen launch since about '91 on a ridiculously low tech TIGA. Ugh!!! We've sure come a long way. Smile
can't wait to try it again.

Great job!!! Thumb's Up That last picture of the green pasture looks nice.....I'll bring my horse to run with the dogs.

Mark, sorry I couldn't help the clean-up but when I'm back in town count me in.

Can't wait for more intel on how the site works with different wind etc.
