Has anyone used the mystic battle jacket while they are kiting? I'm sure its good for before and after - but does anyone ride with one when it gets really cold?
Also, for those that have one? What is the sizing like? is it sort of a one size fits most kind of thing? _________________ Still rockin gojos, *ssless chaps, and ankle weights! |

I have one, have not used it yet (warm year on the Cali coast). I did loan it to a friend and he said it was toasty. I tried both the large and XL and decided on the XL. Im 5'10, 200lbs. |

Ignore what I just said - I don't have a Battle Jacket, I have the Kite Windstopper Jacket - a windbreaker thingy with a hole for the harness hook. |

Moto- You may want to check out the NPX water hoodie. It works great and might function better for what you want. |

I use the mystic force d3o impact jacket and I absolutely love it! It is freakin awsome! sooo worth its weight in gold, saved my ass a few times. No more getting the wind knocked out of me or bruised ribs. I've had some shitty bad wipeouts from major hieghts with that vest and my chest/back are fine, can't say the same for my head in those wipeouts ughhh.... _________________ *AIR PIRATES KITEBOARDING*

I'm gonna agree with PDXMB on this one. Last fall I had a loose fitting neoprene top kiting in the waves in South Padre. Wind died, kite crashed, got drug through the waves a couple of times, released the kite, and I was left swimming with the equivalent of a garbage bag around my neck. Even with the extra buoyancy of a harness I struggled big time. Most of those things fit tightly around the wrist and will fill up with water, making your arms way heavier than you can imagine. Anyway, I just got the Hyperflex Playa jacket for about $125 and it's pretty dope. It's super warm and actually looks pretty cool too. Jeff at Air Padre has them and can ship pretty quickly. _________________ "I don't believe in doing work that I don't want to do in order to live a life that I don't want to live."
