Right on Steve! Good to see you're putting the Fuse to use!

Are you riding it with the directional or TT pads?

That board made my summer! I got the stock directionals on there now trying to work things out Shocked Not as cushy as those TT straps tho.
Hope you're having a good summer! Your directional might need a session down here one of these days.........

Good to hear the Fuse is working for you! Yah, those dirrectional pad are really thin. I was trying to figure out a way to modify the TT pads... Agreed, a south coast session is needed. Hope to make it down before the summer is over. Cheers!

It's been an awesome wind season down here. Just enough days between cycles so you can start feeling your legs again Laughing

I had to laugh out loud the other day when I got spooked by a shadow in the water and realized it was just my kite. Laughing Just when you beat those thoughts to the back of your mind someone in town sends a text to your phone of something they find on the next beach up.......

This should help the on water psyche a little.. Confused

From Wiki:
Although salmon sharks are thought to be capable of injuring humans, there are few if any attacks on humans. There are, however, reports of divers encountering salmon sharks as well as salmon sharks bumping fishing vessels.[9] These reports, however, may need positive identification of the shark species involved.[6]

I had a great close encounter last Thursday. Out on the SUP, surfing a wave in, and a shark comes right at me from the shore. As the wave sucked up in front of me it was glassy, clear and shallow enough to give me a perfect view. It was at least 6 ft and a medium grey on top (which is all I could see). I braced for impact as it went directly under me, but when I opened my eyes I was still going.

I figured it was a smaller white shark, but I guess it was more likely and older Salmon Shark. Sounds like other than size, there's no easy way to tell them apart.

Salmon sharks have really fat barrel shaped bodies in comparison to other sharks. One swam into our fishing net in the middle of the night once. We could not see it, but, when we pulled in our net it was rolled up and drowned. It took an amazing amount of power to roll up in the net like it did. This shark was large enough that we could not pull it into the boat to untangle it. The two other crew held me by my boots upside down over the side while I untangled it from the net. It was very dark except a flashlight on the sharks face. That big black eye was staring right at me. I punched it in the nose a couple of times to make sure it was really dead before I freed the line from its mouth. It was a slightly nervous moment for me.

awesome Thumb's Up

the small ones do like baby great whites but they do get freakishly fat - 600 to 800lbs+ for the big mommas
