I can imagine having your pump fail or forgetting your pump and then finding that nobody else on the beach has a compatible pump to borrow. I have a Halkey Roberts valve on my pontoon boat is really sweet. It's spring loaded, so you pump it and then just untwist the pump and it holds its pressure.
