According to the iwindsurf/ikitesurf meter at Maryhill, it has been blowing 15-25 all afternoon out there - from the East.

Has anyone ever kited at Rufus on an Easterly?

No. I was told that the current is a real power drainer, however.

I guess it is possible to kite from the sand bar on an Easterly.
I'm not sure if he'll make it back, however.

I was just doing an evening beer at the sandbar cafe. that guy was out on a 10m crossbow and a SUP. looked like his first time out on the combo, took him a while to figure things out, but he got it done. out for about 1/2 hour and made it back. didn't look like very fun though, but he was out and i was drinking, so he kicked my ass.

were trying to wake board after work. Way to choppy, had to try. The boat is still on it first tank of gas this summer. I could see the SUP board from across the river. The thing sure bounces around a lot. You can no longer say "no one kites The Hood on
easterly" Eric. OK, when we going to be the second? Sunday on your surf board?

Nico, I tore my hamstring at Rufus last Friday. The back of my leg is not pretty. Looks like I am out for 4 weeks.

Strapless jump. Front foot slid forward on landing. As a 48 year old man the splits are not kind. Hurt like a $#^##$#&%&#$&#4##$#!

sucky - heal up!

- did a similar (totally random) thing at Rufus in April - just a bad strain tho the hammy did making a nasty snapping noise - wasn't even doing anything just fell off the surfboard but my front foot stuck to the board and ended up doing a hurdle stretch with my front foot over my head...
