HR SANDBAR LOG REMOVAL MONDAY 8/16 @ 8:00 AM
4/4 WITH WINCH NEEDED
Some of us kiteboarding instructors have obtained permission to remove the nasty log on the sandbar that is currently marked with a buoy. The Army Corps of Engineers have a planned river lowering for this coming Monday 8/16 through Wed 8/18 anyway, so good timing to remove the log.
We need at least one (maybe two) strong 4/4's with a winch to do the job - and some volunteers to help with muscle. This will NOT be a general sandbar cleanup like so many of you have helped with before - we will only be removing the ONE log that is very dangerous to all kiteboarders who ride at the sandbar.
So - if you have a 4/4 big rig with a winch and desire to help out, please show up at the Sandspit parking lot this coming Monday at 8:00 AM - and please post here if you have the rig and desire to help out.
