Is there a place, and summer month where a family that has three kiters and one windsurfer can be riding at the same spot at the same time? The windsurfer in the family does not do breaking waves--period. We don't need the Epic spot. Looking more for the Epic family groove in island paradise.

Thanks!

Eric

Kailua/Lanikai. Very Happy Windsurfers and Kiters live in harmony there. When it's windy, it's paradise. Might not be windy though...

yeah, just down from kite beach there is a spot. I went with a windsurf buddy of mine and we rode right by each other the whole time. I want to say the locals called it "old man beach" Confused If you keep driving down the road "amala place" and pass kite beach you will find it

Nak, intrigued. Kind of spot that if it's not windy who cares? Go, snorkel, hike, body surf....?

Kailua on Oahu. I think it gets good summer trade winds.

Maui is always a great choice. My experience is the Maui winds tend to be stronger than Oahu in general. Plenty of snorkeling, wave riding opportunities and other activities within 45mins of the kite beach.

The Maui kite and windsurf launches are mostly segregated, but kites can launch at the very south end of Kanaha Beach Park at Naish Beach and then you can all ride in the same water/waves.

Check out "Action Dave's" web site for all the area maps and launch details: http://www.actionsportsmaui.com/directions.html

And seasonal weather trends: http://www.actionsportsmaui.com/mauiweather.html

Groove On! Cool
