I am looking at it. I may go over around 3 if the wind picks up.

Was thinking the same thing. It is supposedly sunny in Kelso, so the clouds are burning off up there.

I wish I could but I might have plans later so I can't go that far. But If the wind and pressure keep going up it might be a decent day out there. Pressure reads .03 right now and someone said in another post that that was about the minimum for a decent day. Wind is reading 7 which is light but if it goes up a little now that it's sunny out it could work out.

Tough to tell man. I haven't ever been there. Pressure is up to .05 but the wind from 10 minutes ago is 2 which is pathetic. Steve said it picked up there last night fairly late so I don't see why that won't happen again especially since it's pretty nice out right now. I would bring some beer if you go though.

It was blowing 19-23 at 6:30pm Sunday. I stopped by on my way back from the coast. Nobody out!

Myself, my son and a buddy are heading out a about 3pm. My son want to go there instead of the sand bar and the little one can build big sand castles. Hope we catch someone else there to share with.

What sensor are you using for windspeed? Unless you are using the proprietary ikitesurf sensor located right at Jones on the WA side, the actuals you are seeing are probably junk.

http://www.ikitesurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=216&siteID=294&Isection=Local+Info

I called Brad Hill last night from Jones and asked him to tell me what the other local sensors were reading. He said they showed 5NW. It was blowing about 20NW at Jones at the time....

Jones geography seems to make it a huge natural venturi. I'm betting its always way stronger at Jones than other places nearby (like Knappa or Bradley Wayside).

ya, the sensor and forecast have been off this year. Maybe they always have. We've been up there quite a few days on 5's and 7's with the recorded wind only hitting the high teens.

The ikitesurf sensor reads light. Don't forget that Jones is below the Bonneville Dam so it is still tidal. If the sensor is averaging 10 mph then it should be solid 12m on an outgoing tide, look for an average of 13-14mph if the tide is flooding.

we showed up around 4 after getting stuck on the bridge for a half hour due to bumper cars. when we arrived a few were on 9's who were underpowered and they came in. I put up the 12 and it faded quite quick. The wind was really intermittent as the kite would die and then back stall and then it was off again. It appeared as if the wind just never filled in with the energy we wanted. I will be back again after I spend some very important time with the family that is needed.

It was pretty good for a about an 1.5 hrs upwind on the Washington side, up the alley by the pools. But once I came back down to ride on the OR side it just was not good anymore.
