Still waiting for owner of bernese mountain dog to PM

I would like to settle up with you regarding the damage your dog did to my kite when it ran over it two days ago. Cute dog, very friendly, but was unleashed and running around with another small black dog and punctured my kite. It's either a bernese, a mix, or something that looks a lot like it. Several folks saw what happened.

I called Animal Control and have a "Complaint" filed, but it's basically on hold as I would much prefer to get this settled out of the legal loop.

I would like $20 for repair, my time, and so forth.

Appreciate your cooperation.

If anyone knows who this owner is please DO NOT TELL ME. I want them to either step up, or not. I don't want to track anyone down, or get into that whole unpleasant vibe.

Sorry to hear about you kite. I had a similar experience today. Pumped my kite up and put my wetsuite on at my car went back to the grass, board was off the kite and there were three small holes in a brand new 5m that I had borrowed from someone. Later some one told me it more than likely was a dog-and thinking about it the holes were definitely the in the form of a paw print. Please keep them on a leash. In future will be a pump and go guy! Something needs to be done about the dogs.

Day before I nearly got knocked over by one as it barged into my knee.
